Rose Ardlen is a young girl living in a European city. She was employed at a factory to help support her family. One day she and several girls were to report to management where they were gassed with some sort of gas and abducted. The girls were subjected to experimentation and given implants. Most of the girls were killed as a result of complications, except for Rose. The man who had performed surgery on her, a Dr. Alfred Moore then attempted to pair Rose and a weapon called Songbird.
Initial attempts to have Rose control Songbird were failures. The doctor became tired of the lack of results and had Rose taken away. Songbird then went berserk, killing the lackeys. Rose tried to escape with Songbird but the plot was foiled when the Dr. Moore blew a whistle that recalled Songbird. Rose was recaptured. Four years since, the whereabouts of Rose is unknown.
