The Ladon class is a small combat vessel formerly intended as Miridem's primary combat ships but later requisitioned by the UNSC Navy as Littoral Combat Ships for paroling Andromeda.

History

A frigate initially built by Miridem following the CGE war which collapsed the Snow administration. The orders were partially meant to keep the Miridem economy from entirely collapsing. The Ladon class design was a based on UNSC specification. 50 ships were ordered in 2578 with 14 completed in 2579 but two were stolen from Miridem Defense Forces by Mandalorian agents during the Miridem Spaceport Massacre. The 50 ships completed as of 2582 are all in UNSC service as littoral patrol ships following their purchase. The ships are undergoing refits on Miridem to better suit the combat they would likely see with work halted in late 2582. Refit work resumed after the UNSC's peacekeeping efforts on Corneria, incorporating countermeasures devised during the campaign.

In Concordi's Raven warlord service, the small ships keep opportunistic tribes and the central administration an arms length from trying anything heavy handed.
